Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Hadoop Developer:
Setting up, configuring, and maintaining Hadoop clusters, including adding and removing nodes
Monitoring and tuning the performance of Hadoop clusters and MapReduce routines
Managing HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) and ensuring data integrity and availability
Implementing and managing Hadoop security, including Kerberos integration
Collaborating with data delivery teams and other IT teams to ensure smooth operations and data quality
Required Skills for Hadoop Developer:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Hadoop development
Proficiency in Hadoop ecosystem tools like HDFS, Yarn, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka, HBase, and Ambari
Hands-on experience with open-source Hadoop distributions (e.g., Apache Hadoop)
Experience in implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for Hadoop clusters
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with diverse teams
