Position Overview -
Tosh Farms is a rapidly growing, family-owned crop and swine production business with over 550 employees in Tennessee and Kentucky. While we are family-owned, we are not a small outfit – we are three companies operating under the Tosh Farms umbrella.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented licensed electrician to support electrical wiring needs at our feed mill, new construction sites, and existing barn locations. This role requires flexibility, as work hours may vary depending on the job and location. The position also includes responding to occasional emergency calls outside of regular hours.
We would especially value candidates who hold electrician licenses in both Kentucky and Tennessee. Experience with touchpoint systems, computer-based controls, complex electrical setups, feed systems, and alarm systems is highly desirable.

In this role you should expect to
Responsible for all tasks related to electrical systems and power to existing facilities, and facilities under construction (both industrial and residential)
Install, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on electrical circuits, control panels, and boxes: replacing fuses, resetting circuit breakers
Responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and authorizations before beginning work
Inspects all electrical connections prior to operation of systems
Responds to call-ins and performs emergency work when requested
Assist in troubleshooting generators
Operate basic hand tools, and other heavy machinery
Will run wire and conduit at elevated heights
Champion a Safety Culture
Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures

Who you are
At least 18 years of age
Ability to maintain and sustain clean driving history
2 years of work experience
Working knowledge of installing electrical systems and National Electrical Code
Ability to read, interpret and perform work from blueprints and wiring diagrams
Demonstrable mechanical, mathematical and analytical aptitude
Effective communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to follow instruction with limited supervision and manage time
Problem solving skills with independent decision-making ability
Strong attention to detail and ability to execute tasks with extreme accuracy
Work independently and also on a team
Physical Requirements
Must be able to push, pull, lift and move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to reach and work overhead
Ability to ascend/descend ladders, perform work at elevated heights, and operate aerial devices
Ability to operate company vehicle, heavy equipment and use power tools
Ability to work in all weather conditions (heat and cold)
Able to work in barns, around livestock, dusty environments, and confined spaces
