The Infrastructure Operations Engineer works on the Operations Team within IT Infrastructure. This position is primarily a hands-on role that will design, build, implement, and respond to pro-active monitoring processes, systems, and solutions to ensure that all ConnectiveRx application and server systems are operating properly. This role is also responsible for maintaining automation systems and solutions as part of pro-active monitoring responsibilities. This position must work closely with business users, Application Development personnel, and peers in Infrastructure to support ConnectiveRx business operations.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor systems to support the healthy operations of all ConnectiveRx Data Centers.
Work to ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met for production systems.
Pro-actively troubleshoot production issues as needed, and identify and capture root cause, action items, and lessons learned after all incidents and infrastructure events.
Capture metrics to measure performance of systems and processes
Pro-actively perform regular system maintenance including security patching for workstations and servers.
Utilize new and existing monitoring tools to provide near real-time alerting for system anomalies, reporting, and predictive analysis.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering
0 to 2 years supporting IT Infrastructure functions
Strong skills in one or more of the following: Windows servers, Cisco networking, and/or storage.
Healthcare IT Infrastructure and HIPAA compliance experience highly preferred. Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and systems. Experience with VMware, Windows Server, Linux, databases, storage, networking, laptops, voice and multimedia.
Ability to troubleshoot and fix Tier 1 & 2 IT related issues. Excellent knowledge of Windows 10, Cisco networking, VMware, and Windows Server 2008 & above. Excellent knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure support tools and technology.
