Responsibilities:
Build and develop a skilled QA team, including hiring, onboarding, and mentoring new
members.
Lead the QA team in planning, executing, and delivering high-quality software testing
initiatives.
Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for web
applications.
Guide and mentor QA team members, providing support, feedback, and technical
expertise.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure clear
understanding of requirements and high test coverage.
Identify, document, and track software defects using test management and bug tracking
tools.
Drive the adoption and enhancement of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium,
Cypress).
Validate APIs and backend processes using tools like Postman.
Write and review SQL queries to validate test data and ensure data integrity.
Ensure cross-browser, responsive, and mobile compatibility testing.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, representing QA perspectives and priorities.
Coordinate with DevOps for test integration in CI/CD pipelines.
Manage post-release validation and coordinate production testing efforts.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior
role.
Strong experience with manual and automated testing for web applications and APIs.
Proficient in writing SQL queries for data validation.
Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage team workloads effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or
Playwright.
Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
Programming experience in C#, JavaScript, or another language used in automated
testing.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps environments.
