Job Title: CNC Lathe Operator

Job Description

The CNC Lathe Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC single turret lathes to produce high-quality parts according to blueprint specifications. This position demands a strong attention to detail, ability to read and interpret drawings, understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and a commitment to safety and precision in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Operate single turret CNC Lathe Machines with Live Tooling capabilities.

Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, pin gages, bore gages, and plug gages.

Deburr parts manually during the machining process as required.

Make offsets to tooling under Fanuc controls.

Identify and resolve machining issues such as tool wear to maintain customer-required dimensions.

Accurately record production data, including quantities and quality inspections.

Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.Essential Skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Familiarity with CNC lathes and measuring equipment.

Strong focus on accuracy and quality.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to hold tolerances as tight as +/- .0002.Additional Skills & Qualifications

The work environment is air-conditioned, well-lit, temperature-controlled, and very clean. You will be working alongside 60-70 CNC machines.

Job Type & Location

This position is based out of Buffalo Grove, Illinois.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
