The Federal Program Manager will lead and oversee complex, technology-focused customer programs within QTS Federal. This role is accountable for planning, executing, and advancing the federal strategy to support federal programs and corporate initiatives. The Federal Program Manager collaborates with internal and external teams to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and fulfillment of business requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide overall leadership and management to large strategic government programs.
Act as the customer's primary point of contact for all technical, administrative, leadership, quality, and contractual elements of the project
Lead and coordinate the planning, scheduling, and resourcing of projects to adhere to program requirements. Responsible for identifying risks and driving remediation.
Lead client facing meetings related to requirements gathering, solutions design, and status updates during service delivery.
Monitor and evaluate contract deliverables for operational effectiveness, efficiency, benefits, and contract compliance.
Identify and resolve operational and performance gaps; implement changes and drive corporate improvements.
Understand the operating models of internal organizations to promote effective communication. These groups include, but are not limited to: Sales, Facility Operations, Property Development, Implementation, Technology Operations, and Security.
Assist with the Federal strategy by providing assessments of project performance, understanding program and customer needs, and advocating for customer success.
Provide analysis of existing processes and assist with identifying future trends or the need for new standards.
Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of program management and/or technical project management experience
Experience presenting technical information to executives
Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
United States Citizenship
Ability to obtain a TS security clearance.
US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts
This role may require between 5% and 20% travel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of program management and/or technical project management experience
PMP Certification or equivalent
Experience with Federal Government or data center program management
Active TS security clearance with eligibility for additional accesses as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Effective written and oral communication at both the working level and executive level
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
