Volt is immediately hiring for an EMA Technician/Electromechanical assembler in Clifton, NJ Position Type: Full time Contract.
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Clifton, NJ As an EMA Technician/Electromechanical assembler, you will:
• Provide assistance to fellow operators whenever possible and train fellow workers to perform any function that you have specific job knowledge of.
• Follow basic safety rules to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required to maintain safe working conditions.
• Maintain work area in a clean, neat, and orderly manner
• Being an active participant while working in a team environment, communicating with fellow workers in order to ensure that the build cycle transitions smoothly from operation to operation
• Responsible to check and ensure that MSDS labels, shelf life stickers and calibration stickers are current on chemicals, compounds, applicable tools and support equipment, as required.
• Complete assembly operations working from drawings, process books or schematics and notes regarding assembly requirements, methods, and other pertinent information.
• Ensure that each assembly is built properly and in full accordance with any applicable process books, or drawings.
• Operator must make every attempt to maintain the integrity of the process documentation and flag any necessary changes to their supervisor or responsible support engineer.
• Perform First Piece Inspections and OSI (Operator Self Inspection) in accordance with quality requirements and maintain the integrity of the OSI folders.
• Able to assemble per IPC 620 (Cables, Harness, Box level assemblies) The ideal candidate will have: • HS Diploma with IPC 620 Certification required.
• Soldering, Mechanical Assembly
• Use hand tools, Able to build cables/box assemblies
