The Gund Company is seeking a full time CNC Machine Setup Operator III for our 2nd Shift

Starting hourly wage: $25 - $30, plus 15% shift premium

Job Summary
Setups involve familiarity with and understanding of program formats involving combinations of operations such as profile and contour milling, boring, recessing, turning, drilling, threading, etc., to the capacity of the machine and control factor. Operates numerically controlled machine tools to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring a high degree of skill. May check parts for conformance to specifications and run and set up more than one unit simultaneously.
Essential Job Functions
Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment:
Set-up and operate CNC machining centers in multiple cells that include but are not limited to mills, lathes, presses, routers etc.
Perform advanced setup operations
Perform work independently with minimal defectsRequirements:
Qualifications and Competencies
Requires a broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures.
Open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts
Intermediate math skills and/or aptitudes
Ability to use basic measuring instruments
Excellent problem solving skills
Must be able to work overtime as needed
Education and Experience
Typically requires 5+ years of combined formal training and experience, or equivalent.
A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry preferred.

Work Environment: The work environment is typical of most shop environments; not climate controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions. Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
Frequent exposure to fumes/dust particles; may require use of respirators or other types of PPE.
May come in contact with toxic or caustic chemicals.
