Job Description
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our team. Proficiency in designing and implementing low (24vdc controls) and medium voltage (480v power) electrical distribution systems is essential, with a preference for experience in chemical processing, manufacturing, pulp and paper, oil and petrochemical, or power generation. This role involves travel to client sites as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems for capital projects across various industries.
Develop construction and repair designs for primary and secondary electrical distribution, transformers, wiring, industrial controls, control systems, and instrumentation.
Conduct power system coordination modeling to ensure system reliability and safety.
Design layouts and select equipment for electrical distribution systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs seamlessly into overall project plans.
Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed electrical solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
Requirements:
Proficiency in designing and implementing low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Willingness to travel to client sites for project-related activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in one or more of the following sectors: chemical processing, manufacturing, pulp and paper, oil and petrochemical, or power generation.
