Job Title: Excavator Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will operate heavy equipment used in excavation, trenching, grading, and site development work, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to dig trenches, foundations, and other areas as per project requirements.

Load and unload materials, debris, or soil into trucks or designated locations.

Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.

Perform pre-operational checks and basic maintenance on machinery.

Maintain awareness of surroundings and ensure the safety of crew members and site.

Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and local regulations.

Communicate with site supervisors and other workers to ensure efficient operations.

Report equipment malfunctions or safety issues to maintenance or supervisory staff.

Assist in site preparation and clean-up as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Proven experience as an excavator operator or similar role in construction.

Valid heavy equipment operator’s license or certification.

Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations.

Ability to work in a physically demanding and outdoor environment.

Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment:

Outdoor construction sites, sometimes in extreme weather conditions.

Exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for long periods while operating machinery.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.Company Description
