Title: Director of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP)

POSITION PROFILE:

The Director of MEP will lead the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) team within the Building Systems Architectural Group. This role is responsible for setting the strategic vision, overseeing high-performing sustainable MEP designs, and ensuring the successful execution of projects. The Director will mentor and develop team members, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to the companys long-term success.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Vision & Leadership: Define and implement the strategic direction of the MEP team, identifying industry trends and maintaining a competitive edge.

Team Development: Mentor, coach, and inspire staff to foster collaboration and excellence.

Project Oversight: Ensure successful project execution, meeting quality, budget, and timeline metrics, while providing technical guidance.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary client contact, build long-term relationships, and collaborate with various departments.

Financial & Operational Management: Manage the departments budget, oversee project profitability, and optimize resource allocation.

Innovation & Technical Excellence: Drive innovation in MEP systems and stay updated on sustainable design practices and emerging technologies.

Organizational Contribution: Work with senior leadership to develop and execute company-wide strategic initiatives.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Certification:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 5 years of MEP engineering and leadership experience.

Strong leadership, project management, and client-facing skills.

Expertise in MEP systems, sustainable design practices, and relevant codes and standards.

Proficiency in design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
