Job Title: Program Assistant – Safe Haven

Reports To: Safe Haven Program Director

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary: This position is primarily responsible for supervising residents while on shift. Additional duties include monitoring to ensure that residents take medication properly. Supervises residents while completing chores and cooking. Protects the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of residents and their families and possesses the ability to work independently and collaborate, when appropriate, with other Safe Haven employees.

Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with people with mental, substance abuse or social disabilities. Knowledge of housekeeping, cooking, and home management. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, supervise residents and handle crisis.
