Software Developer (Ruby) with Security Clearance

BreakPoint Labs is looking for a Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience who has a strong foundation in software development and a passion for learning new technologies in an ever-changing industry. This role requires someone who can work independently while knowing when to reach out for support. Prior experience will be required working with PostgreSQL, AWS, GitLab, and Docker in addition to a working knowledge of Ruby on Rails. ROR experience can be via classroom, or with only one past project. The ideal candidate should be open to exploring and adapting to emerging technologies and handling unique technical challenges as they arise. BreakPoint Labs needs someone proactive, curious, and eager to grow, with the ability to tackle both structured projects and odd-end tasks. The position is remote/hybrid. Although the position allows for remote work, the Candidates must live within the National Capital Region, or in the Dayton, OH area, or the Vicksburg, MS area. While most work can be conducted remotely, there will be occasions that working with classified information will require work onsite at the customer location . Therefore, the requirement to live within a reasonable commute of either one of these locations is needed. Position Responsibilities: -Collaborate with other developers and engineers to develop and support applications written in Ruby.

-Troubleshoot software issues and develop solutions.

-Draft and maintain technical documentation.

-Package application for deployment using Docker.

-Apply knowledge of AWS cloud services. Required Experience: - 3 years of experience in the development, deployment, operation, and maintenance of software applications.

- Experience working with PostgreSQL, AWS, GitLab, and Docker.

- Some experience writing applications with Ruby on Rails is required. This experience could come from a one-time project or classroom experience. Certifications Required: - Security+ Continuing Education (CE) CompTIA

- If the Ideal Candidate does not possess the Security+ CE, they will need to have the ability to obtain the Security+ Continuing Education (CE) CompTIA within the first 90 days of employment

- Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in the Area(s) of Study Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field Security Clearance Required: Secret Clearance but must be able to clear a Top-Secret investigation as the position will require this upgrade.
