The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, secure, and scalable PostgreSQL environments in Linux-based infrastructures. PostgreSQL Expert: Installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning

Replication & Failover: Streaming/logical replication and failover configurations

Backup & Recovery: Proficiency with pg_dump, pg_basebackup, pgBackRest, PITR

Role-Based Access Control and user security management

Large Dataset Management: Partitioning, indexing, and extension usage

Scripting: Bash, Python, or Perl scripting for automation and monitoring

Log Analysis: Diagnosing slow queries, deadlocks, and system issues via logs

Linux Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with RHEL or similar Nice-to-Have Experience

EnterpriseDB, Oracle, SQL Server

Tools: pgwatch2, Pgpool, PgBouncer

Performance optimization, query tuning

Git, Ansible, and DevOps experience

Awareness of GDPR, SOC2 Type II compliance

Cloud: AWS and cloud database deployments Key Responsibilities

Support and manage relational databases across host-based and distributed systems

Design logical and physical database structures in line with client needs

Create and test backup and restore strategies regularly

Tune performance and implement high-availability configurations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on database standards and security

Maintain patching, upgrades, and version control procedures

Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory standards

Participate in capacity planning and performance analysis

Contribute to automation of DBA tasks and infrastructure enhancements Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

6-8 years of experience with PostgreSQL and other database technologies

Strong systems knowledge of Linux/Unix environments

Experience supporting enterprise SaaS and mission-critical databases

Excellent analytical and communication skills

Must be a U.S. Citizen and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
