Job DetailsResponsibilities Lead the development of embedded firmware on STM32-based custom hardware Write reliable, low-level code in C and/or Rust to support real-time sensing and control Integrate sensors and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, BLE, Sub-GHz, etc.) Create Python-based tooling for hardware testing, data capture, and internal diagnostics Collaborate with ML/AI to ensure seamless integration between embedded data collection and inference systems Contribute to the full product lifecycle Bring up new hardware platforms and design firmware to support evolving system requirements Collaborate with modeling and software teams to connect hardware data streams with AI inference systems Own OTA update systems and device monitoring capabilities for field-deployed units Contribute to long-term system design around power, latency, and robustness in edge environmentsRequirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or similar; Master's or PhD is a plus 5 years of experience and a proven track record building and shipping hardware Expertise writing embedded C/C++ or Rust in real-time environments Strong familiarity with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers Strong track record building and shipping embedded systems, especially sensor or IoT applications Familiarity with firmware-hardware integration, RTOS, and production-grade embedded deployments Prior work in startup or high-velocity environments preferred Experience with low-power design and wireless communication stacks is a major plus Strong plus if coming from companies like Tesla, SpaceX, Palantir, Anduril, or RivianInterested in hearing more?
