Mainframe Automation System Programmer:

Job Description

Handles day to day requests

Performs mid-level troubleshooting

Plans and executes customization for software upgrades

Supports console design model

Supports operating system upgrades

Business Continuity Planning and participation

Performs conversions of existing automation environment to strategic tools

Assists team members on projects, troubleshooting and code development

Audit and Security Support

Works with global community to identify best in class automation

Identifies future trends and impact to our automation environment, leading transitions

Develops automation code to assist in planning and executing customization for software upgrades

Writes strategic automation code

Leads team members on projects including New Business

Performs migrations of new business or internal migrations

Implements virtual console design model

Support monitoring tools owned and supported by Mainframe Automation team. e.g.: CA-Sysview, CA-OPS/MVS, CA-Automation Point, IBM-SA, IBM-IOM, BMC AMI ops; z/OS

Rex coding

In charge of z/OS system automation

Qualifications

10 years related experience, at least 5 in Automation

Experience with z/OS

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint

Work Environment

Remote – in the US

1st shift; on call as needed - 24 x 7 on call support – rotation

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $91,400 - $169,700.

Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
