Job Title: ENTRY LEVEL ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual with excellent engineering skills for a challenging and rewarding position designing single board computers for embedded electronics applications. The successful candidate should possess a strong working knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, embedded system architecture, schematic capture with PCB CAD tools, FPGA and CPLD logic design, and should be eager to learn about new technologies in the world of embedded electronics.
Responsibilities
Design, verify, and document systems and components for rugged handheld electronics from concept through production.
Capture customer requirements and define hardware solutions, as well as test and verification plans to meet customer specifications.
Utilize CAD tools for schematic capture and perform timing and signal integrity simulation.
Create net rules and routing constraints and collaborate with placement and layout engineers to develop PCB fabrication files.
Design and simulate digital logic for programmable logic devices (FPGA, CPLD) using vendor supplied software tools.
Evaluate, select, and create models for electronic components to satisfy project requirements.
Test and validate developed hardware and participate in production testing, safety, EMC, and MIL-Spec certification.
Interface with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, software, systems, supply chain, and sales, to manage electronic design and manufacturing tradeoffs.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum of 1 year in related electronic circuit design experience.
Experience with PCB CAD tools.
Familiarity with a variety of test bench equipment.
Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Eligibility to work on ITAR projects (US person).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technical writing skills.
Experience with microcontrollers, Xpedition, Altium, FPGA, and ARM Microprocessors.

The Rockville office hosts a close-knit group of approximately 30 engineers specializing in hardware, software, and mechanical domains. The work environment offers a family feel and opportunities to explore various applications and challenges. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $40.86/hr.
