GEICO is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager, Paralegal Support to join our corporate legal department.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in paralegal work and possess strong leadership abilities to manage a team of Paralegals and Legal Assistants.
This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the legal support team, ensuring high-quality paralegal and administrative support, while performing paralegal duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities: * Team Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of paralegals, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and professional development.
* Paralegal Work: Perform paralegal work, as needed, including legal research, document preparation and review, and case management.
* Quality Control: Ensure accuracy and compliance in all legal documents and processes handled by the paralegal team.
* Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the paralegal team.
* Project Management: Coordinate and manage legal projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Communication: Serve as a liaison between the paralegal team and other divisions, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
* Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, project status, and other relevant metrics to management.
Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Paralegal certification preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Location: Hybrid - The individual will be required to work 3-4 days onsite in our Chevy Chase, MD office.
Annual Salary $151,700.00 - $235,750.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline.
Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
