Manager, Pricing & Estimating

The Opportunity:

Summary:\u202FThe Manager, Pricing & Estimating is responsible for scheduling and supervising their team, maintaining material and machine standards, and developing costs for RFPs. This role includes training new team members, providing accurate estimates using proprietary software and vendor information, and consulting with manufacturing staff. Additionally, the Manager identifies standard items and costs, assists in developing sell prices, responds to large pricing requests, and prepares large quotes for customers.

How you will impact WestRock:

Maintaining and updating material and machine standards in the Common Estimating System.

Assisting the Pricing Team by developing costs for RFPs.

Training new team members in all estimating systems and procedures.

Providing complete and accurate component/material estimates within the specified time frame using WRMD proprietary estimation software and outside vendors\u2019 information.

Using approved sources for outside items, utilizing the vendor pricing matrix to identify costs for components, consulting with manufacturing staff to determine the best method to produce components internally, and developing, maintaining, and sharing a database of sources for outsourced components.

Identifying "standard" items and their proper standard costs, assisting Sales and Project Management in developing sell prices if applicable, responding to large Requests for Pricing from customers, and developing and following a methodology for preparing and submitting large quotes to customers.

What you need to succeed:

Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred or 2- 4 years previous industry or estimating experience.

Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.

Excellent verbal, written, and virtual communication skills.\u202F

Microsoft office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\u202F
