Position: Assistant Cheerleading Coach Department: Athletics Status: Part Time Position Summary: The Assistant Cheerleading Coach will report to the Head Cheerleading Coach.

This is a part-time, 12-month, non-benefited position with evening and weekend hours required.

The assistant coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with all team activities for the cheerleading program and requires an individual with knowledge and experience in teaching all facets of cheerleading including basic stunting and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Assists the head coach with the selection of team each season * Helps head coach with training sessions, practices and in-game routines * Work with various groups in community service outings * Assist Athletics Marketing staff in promotion of events * Work with Student-Athlete Service to help academic growth of student-athletes * Perform other related duties as assigned * Maintain all NCA safety standards * Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

* Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX, and FERPA guidelines.

* Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Education/Experience: * Bachelor's Degree, preferred * Minimum of 1-2 years of collegiate coaching or 3-4 years of cheerleading coaching experience.

* Experience working in a team environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

* Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.

* Have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.

* Must display the highest of ethical standards and commitment to the overall success of Campbell Athletics.

* Expected to act within the parameters of institutional control.

* Responsible for conducting all activities in compliance with NCAA, Big South Conference, and Campbell University rules and regulations * Ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels.

* Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with trustees, faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials and the public.

* Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.

* Detail-oriented and willing to work in a changing environment.

* This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University.
