Job Summary

As a Proposal Writer at ComPsych, you play a key role in crafting persuasive proposals that set us apart in the marketplace. Working with a dynamic team, you create high-quality proposals tailored to specific buyers. This role involves collaborating with account management teams, product managers, and subject matter experts to develop executive summaries, technical answers, and other key proposal elements. Responsibilities include responding to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, as well as maintaining and improving proposal templates and knowledge bases.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Proposal Writer at ComPsych, you will be critical in crafting winning proposals that showcase our value to prospective clients. Key responsibilities include:

Proposal Development: Manage the end-to-end proposal process, including analyzing RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, creating original content, customizing executive summaries, and editing team contributions to meet client needs.

Collaboration & Strategy: Partner with sales executives, account managers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop tailored responses that align with customer priorities and emphasize key value drivers.

Project Management: Oversee multiple proposals simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines, comply with specifications, and maintain the highest quality standards.

Content Management: Maintain and enhance the proposal database (Responsive) by updating content to reflect new product offerings, ongoing enhancements, and evolving customer requirements.

Leadership & Guidance: Act as the proposal expert by guiding internal teams through the proposal process and providing strategic insights during reviews with senior leadership.

Editing & Quality Assurance: Proofread and edit proposals for accuracy, proper formatting, grammar, and alignment with ComPsych's positioning and messaging. Job Qualifications

We're seeking a motivated professional with strong writing skills and a passion for creating impactful proposals. Ideal candidates will have:

A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

3+ years of experience in proposal writing or responding to RFPs (preferred)

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive business content

Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe tools, Responsive proposal software, and familiarity with tools like Microsoft Dynamics

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively

A collaborative mindset with a strong service orientation and the ability to work across teams

Experience in a service industry required; knowledge of insurance or healthcare industries is a plus Benefits and Perks

The pay range for this position is $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
