We are seeking actively licensed and local Massachusetts-based Emergency Medicine Physicians with clear malpractice records and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care. This site is staffed by a well-established group and is equipped to manage all levels of emergency situations. Our team will handle all travel, lodging, and credentialing needs to get you started quickly.

Opportunity Details:

Location: Worcester, MA

Contract Type: Locum Tenens

Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing

Setting: Acute Care Emergency Department

Schedule: Flexible; preference for 7+ shifts/month

Shift Options:

6:30 AM - 2:30 PM

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

1:30 PM - 9:30 PM

3:30 PM - 11:30 PM

11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

10- or 12-hour blocks available, especially for nights

ED Specifics:

Annual Volume: 50,000

ED Beds: 20

Admission Rate: 22%

Acuity: High

EMR: Cerner

Radiology Reads: Available

Bedside Ultrasound: Yes

Admitting Orders: Yes

Floor Codes: No

MD/APC Coverage: Avg. 48 MD / 36 APC hours daily (may vary)

Candidate Requirements:

Board Certification:

ABEM or AOBEM preferred

Licensure: Active Massachusetts Medical License

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS

All providers must have ACLS regardless of board certification

Non-EM boarded physicians must also complete a sedation test

Experience: Recent ED experience required

DEA: Active and unrestricted
