The Associate Athletics Director for Compliance & Student-Athlete Success is responsible for managing all aspects of NCAA compliance and institutional reporting while providing oversight of student-athlete development programming and designated sport programs. This role ensures adherence to NCAA, SIAC, PBC and institutional rules and regulations and coordinates eligibility certification, rules education, and compliance monitoring. The position also supervises the Compliance & Student-Athlete Success Fellow and supports holistic student-athlete development efforts, including SAAC, academic progress monitoring, and life skills programming. Additionally, this role provides sport oversight for designated sports and collaborates with the Athletics Business Manager on NCAA financial reporting and EADA submissions.

Responsibilities
Compliance Oversight
Serve as the department's chief compliance officer and primary liaison to the NCAA, SIAC and PBC.
Administer a comprehensive compliance program, including education, monitoring, and enforcement.
Lead all certification processes (initial, continuing, and transfer eligibility).
Maintain compliance software systems (e.g., ARMS, Banner, NCAA CA, LSDBi).
Develop and manage the annual compliance calendar.
Train coaches and staff on rule changes and interpretations.
Institutional and NCAA Reporting
Lead preparation and submission of:
Graduation Success Rate (GSR) / Academic Success Rate (ASR).
NCAA Sport Sponsorship & Demographics.
Collaborate with the Athletics Business Manager on:
Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA).
NCAA Financial Reporting.
Ensure accurate data collection in partnership with Admissions, Institutional Research, Registrar, and Financial Aid.
Student-Athlete Success Oversight
Provide leadership for holistic student-athlete development in partnership with the Fellow.
Supervise the Compliance and Student-Athlete Success Fellow, who manages:
SAAC coordination.
Leading student-athlete engagement and recognition events.
Life skills and leadership programming.
Serve as liaison to Career Services, Counseling, and Academic Affairs for athlete support.
Sport Administration
Provide direct sport for designated sports and assist with budget, scheduling, and program needs.
Support performance evaluations and team culture initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of three (3) years of NCAA compliance experience.
Strong understanding of NCAA rules, reporting requirements, and eligibility standards.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required for events.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's preferred.
Experience with sport supervision and/or student-athlete development.
NCAA Division II compliance experience.
Familiarity with compliance software (ARMS, Banner, NCAA CA, LSDBi).
Background in an HBCU or resource-conscious athletics environment.
