Purpose
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Operations Planner/Analyst to join our Production Operations team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate demand forecasting, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting efficient production planning in a complex manufacturing environment. The Demand Planner will work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Production, Sales, and Finance teams to drive data-driven decision-making and enhance supply chain efficiency and forecasting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data, and business intelligence
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to gather insights and refine demand planning assumptions
Analyze inventory levels and production schedules to ensure alignment with demand projections
Monitor and report key performance metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and service levels
Identify risks and opportunities in the demand plan and proactively adjust strategies to mitigate potential disruptions
Lead demand planning meetings and drive consensus among stakeholders
Work closely with the Production and Supply Chain teams to ensure raw material availability aligns with production needs
Utilize ERP and planning tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent) to generate data-driven forecasts and reports
Continuously improve demand planning processes by implementing best practices and leveraging new technologies
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics in a manufacturing environment
Strong proficiency in data analysis, demand planning software, and ERP systems.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred
Ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
Experience in complex or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus
