Accounts Receivables Specialist - Contract/Contract To Hire
Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their finance team on a Temporary/Contract or Contract To Hire basis. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely and accurate collection of payments from customers.
Job Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing customer accounts, invoicing, collections, and reconciliations. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Invoicing:
Generate and send out invoices to customers accurately and timely.
Verify and resolve any discrepancies on invoices before sending.
Maintain up-to-date records of customer billing information.
Payment Processing:
Process customer payments via checks, credit cards, ACH, or wire transfers.
Allocate payments to the appropriate customer accounts.
Reconcile daily deposits and resolve any discrepancies.
Collections:
Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments.
Contact customers to follow up on outstanding balances.
Negotiate payment plans or settlements when necessary.
Maintain communication logs and records of collection efforts.
Account Reconciliation:
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare monthly accounts receivable reconciliations and reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly accounts receivable reports.
Analyze accounts receivable data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Provide insights and recommendations to management based on analysis.
Qualifications:
Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 4+ experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
