Job Description
We are seeking a Mainframe Developer with excellent DB2 skills to join our team on a full-time contract basis. This role is hybrid, 2 days onsite and 3 days remote each week. The position is focused on analysis, design, coding, and testing for various applications supported by the Application Team.
What You'll Do
Analyze, design, code, and test application code owned by the Apps Team
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Application Architects, and other team members to ensure requirements are met
Develop program specification requirements and deliver new or modified programs
Conduct unit testing and participate in system testing with users
Provide technical expertise and collaborate with the ITO and ATCSU units
Develop supportive documentation for programs
Participate in database conversions and provide production support
What You'll Need
Required:
5 years of experience in COBOL/CICS/DB2 coding, testing, and debugging
Experience with IBM OS/JCL (MVS) and IBM/DB2
Strong experience in Stored Procedures
Experience with CICS, including coding, testing, and debugging
Experience in usability testing with users
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
Experience in conversions from IDMS/DC to CICS and IDMS to DB2
Physical Demands
Must be able to perform sedentary work
Involves repetitive computer tasks and use of a computer
Requires the ability to travel to the onsite location two days a week
Key Notes
