Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer Amarillo, TX Duration: Direct hire Location: Amarillo, TX Pay Rate: $60k/yr System One is currently seeking a Civil Engineer on a direct hire position located in Amarillo, TX.

Civil Engineer Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of civil/structural engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.

Perform site visits to collect data and assist with construction inspections.

Assist in quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid packages.

Support in reviewing drawings and plans for accuracy and compliance with industry standards and local regulations.

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and procurement/construction teams.

Assist in permitting and regulatory documentation preparation.

Maintain project documentation, reports, and records.

Participate in client and project team meetings as needed.

Civil Engineer Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

0–2 years of civil engineering experience (internships or co-ops acceptable). EIT certification (or working toward it) preferred.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D; familiarity with structural analysis software is a plus.

Basic understanding of site development, grading, drainage, foundations, and utility layout.

Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
