Delta’s Salesforce COE is responsible for enabling all

business units who adopt Salesforce products – this means you need to be

naturally curious, driven to understand by asking questions, focused on

optimization, willing to explain to less experienced team members both in IT

and the business, and able to quickly pivot between diverse business units with

widely differing goals. It’s critical as a member of the COE to be a

standard-bearer for best practices, Salesforce knowledge, and making Delta a

better place.

The Portfolio Architect role is one of solution-oriented

design. This role partners with our domains to ensure programs involving

Salesforce have sound architecture. The Portfolio Architect plays the Domain

Architect's role on projects as needed providing the conceptual, logical and

physical architecture, defining best suited technology. This includes designing

effective, efficient innovative Salesforce solutions, defining modernization

and improvements to existing systems, and combining a high level of Salesforce

expertise with aviation industry standards to drive change and innovation

across business lines. This high-level role requires aptitude in understanding

current business needs and anticipating future business needs, while designing

integrated solutions that are agile, durable, and stable. This role is

also responsible for mentoring other Developers on the team as well as serving

as a primary liaison for the Salesforce COE to teams including information

security and our Cloud COE (AWS).

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

+ SalesforceCertified Technical Architect

+ Bachelor'sdegree in computer science, Information Systems or related technicalfield, or related experience.

+ 7+years of professional experience in software architecture or seniorsoftware engineering capacity at enterprise scale

+ Understandingof AWS services such as IAM, VPCs, EC2, EBS, KMS, Airflow, GLUE, S3, RDS,Lambda, AWS Config, etc.)

+ Deepunderstanding of Salesforce Sales, Service, Experience Clouds, EventMonitoring, Marketing Cloud.

+ Fluencywith one or more scripting/coding languages such as Java, Javascript,REST, JSON, Python

+ Abilityto dig into a technical problem and lead troubleshooting sessions whennecessary

+ Demonstratedability to mentor and develop junior engineers and developers with bestpractices

+ Deepsense of ownership and accountability

+ Deepunderstanding of risks and benefits for solutions that meet the businessneeds

+ Strongorganizational and analytical skills with attention to detail, able towork effectively with domain partners across IT to ensure Salesforcesolutions are following Delta’s established patterns and frameworks

+ Platformarchitecture skills including site reliability engineering, quality andtesting, system design and integration, and implementation from the groundup

+ Experiencein leading design and development of Sales solutions on Salesforceplatforms that scale across Delta’s divisions

+ Experiencedefining and maintaining accountability to architectural design patternsand serving as a technology domain’s subject matter expert

+ Experiencein CICD, TDD and DevOps within Salesforce

+ Experiencedeveloping POCs and passionate about innovation of new solutions

+ Demonstratedability to think strategically about business, product, and technicalchallenges

+ Consistentlyprioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

+ Embracesdiverse people, thinking, and styles.

+ Possessesa high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

+ Isat least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the UnitedStates.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

+ 3+years of experience with the architecture and design of non-Salesforcebased cloud solutions, applications, integrations, and platformengineering

+ 6+years of experience with the architecture and design of Salesforce cloudsolutions, applications, integrations.

+ Experienceworking in an airline technology environment is preferred.
