Wieland is hiring a Quality Assurance Coordinator. To support the quality inspection team from the shop floor manufacturing perspective coordinating the activities of the QA departments inspections in accordance with the customer ship priority ensuring the quality of products produced internally or externally meets requirements through the measurement and validation of product. The coordinator is the point person for Coordinate Measuring Machine and other advanced metrology equipment programming, performing gage control activities, MRB, and re-occurring training on inspection.
Base Hourly Range: $24.00 - $36.00 hourly.
May be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Programming, troubleshooting and maintenance of Coordinate Measuring Machines
Programming/training of other advanced metrology equipment, i.e. Mahrsurf, LazerMicometer, Lazer Etching.
Creation of measurement work instructions
(FAIR, PPAP, AS9100 FAIR and ISIR) dimension layout inspection completion and supporting documentation submissions.
Participate as needed Ensuring customer requirements of products are met by means of:
Approval of production First piece submissions
Receiving Inspection for Outside Operations
Final Inspection
Creating and verifying Certificate of Conformances documentation
Continual training of proper measurement and gauge setting techniques, formally and informally
Verification of material certificates issued to the customer
Verification of counts and job operation closure/sign-off
Initiate and close Non-conformance reports using database systems
Internal Calibration of production intent gauges
Recall and calibration of gauges per procedure and maintaining Gagetrak database
Setting of variable measurement equipment
Lead Material Review Board for disposition of products and facilitate containment activities
Assist the QA Manager in planning the operation and function of the quality technician team
Organize and implement the flow of work to ensure desired inspection support outcomes are met.
Prepare documentation packages to support Quality
Minor assembly & kitting of Aerospace products (i.e. Torque Pins, Aerospace kit packages)
Act as customer Self Release Designate (If assigned/trained)
Assist the QA Manager. in the implementation and generation of processes pertaining to the Quality Management System
Qualifications:
Must have knowledge of proper use of a wide variety of measuring instruments including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, depth gages, height gages, thread rings, thread plugs, profilometers, comparators, bore gages, pin gages, GO/NOGO plug gages, snap gages, radius gages
Ability to do basic programming of CMM's with intent to become more advanced
Strong measurement skills including proper use of a vast array of equipment
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to read and understand process router
Good written and verbal communication
Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of basic mathematics to calculate dimensional results
Advanced blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T principles
Proper measuring techniques with a variety of gages
Knowledge of ferrous and/or non-ferrous materials
Strong mechanical aptitude
High school diploma or GED required
Prior quality inspection of CNC machined products experience required
3-5 years of experience required
Prior experience programming CMM's required, Calypso software is preferred
Experience calibrating basic metrology equipment (micrometers, calipers, etc)
Prior experience in a ISO approved facility required, AS9100 preferred
Ability to meet color vision examination and Near vision to 20/25 corrected
