Summary of the Role: The Assistant Dispensary Manager is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the dispensary and assisting retail leadership in ensuring a smooth, compliant, and customer-focused environment. This role plays a key part in supervising staff, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining regulatory compliance, overseeing cash handling procedures, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate will lead by example, help train and develop team members, and ensure operational efficiency in alignment with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and direct the activities of the team
Communicate efficiently, effectively, and professionally; ability to lead during stressful situations
Scheduling within the dispensary, ensuring all business needs are met, while maintaining budgetary expectations
Assign work and monitor progress; guide, train, and develop employees for success
Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and implement recommendations in support of company goals
Research, evaluate and adapt to new methods, compliance updates, and techniques for operational improvement
Track and monitor inventory using the state inventory tracking system
Maintains POS platform and ensures all technology systems operate effectively
Handles cash in compliance with company policies including deposits, change orders, etc.
Maintaining all required dispensary records
Ability to operate Dutchie software systems,, METRC, OAARS, and Microsoft hardware and software.
Ability to operate cash register, tabletop, and hand scanners.
Assist with other departments as needed.

Qualifications:
Retail management experience required
Experience in the marijuana industry preferred
Demonstrates empathy and a passion for serving patients in need
Is 21 years of age or older
Able to pass a criminal background check
Results driven & a strong verbal communicator
Exhibits basic math skills required
Demonstrate a proficiency for technology (including Microsoft Office & Retail POS systems)

Extended computer usage
Comfortable being under constant video surveillance
Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.
