The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District in search of an HR Business Partner with a passion for building HR programs and supporting employees who provide park and recreation services to the community.

The ideal candidate has experience in the public sector, including employee relations work in a union setting.

Position Profile: The Human Resources Department at THPRD supports an employee base of roughly 200 full-time employees and 1,000 part-time employees (depending on the season). The successful candidate will join a team of three HR Business Partners who all report to the HR Director.

The HR Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to assigned departments and provides support with employee relations, including workplace investigations, accommodations, and employee development.

This position will also oversee the Recruitment & Selection program area, including acting as lead recruiter for all full-time vacancies and overseeing a team of 2-4 part-time staff responsible for the part-time recruitment process.

Current goals for this position include a review of the district's part-time recruitment program, development of a comprehensive and welcoming onboarding experience for all employees, and coordination of employee engagement events.

Graduate or professional degree is desirable.

PHR/SPHR or IPMA-CP/SCP certification preferred, AND three (3) or more years of human resources experience in one or more functional areas is required.

Public-sector or high-volume/seasonal HR experience highly desirable.
