Who We're Looking For:
We are looking for self-motivated individuals to join our Team as an
Audio-Visual (AV) Technician.
Audio-Visual Technician (AVT) are responsible for performing a wide variety of installation duties as key field positions to help with the installation efforts of a large scale AV project onsite in China Lake, CA. The AVT must be able to work independently or with the Lead Engineer to complete installations at customer facilities. The right candidates will need to be able to interpret drawing packages to create the basis of the finished systems. This installation can include displays, video walls, loudspeakers, microphones, equipment racks, etc.
Work Location & Schedule
This position follows a rotating travel schedule:
Spend 6–10 weeks working
onsite at China Lake, CA, followed by 2 weeks off at home to rest and recharge
All travel and onsite accommodation expenses fully covered by PEAKE
Daily per diem allowance for meals and incidental expenses. (Note: based on GSA rates and typically tax-free when aligned with federal travel guidelines; paid in addition to wages to reduce out-of-pocket costs and simplify expense tracking.)

Clearance Requirement
U.S. Citizenship required
DoD Secret clearance preferred. Applicants must be
able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance
(sponsorship available).
Primary Responsibilities:
Physical installation of a wide variety of technology into a wide variety of locations
Be able to terminate all wire and connector types and ability to test completed terminations
Support the preparation of equipment racks for staging of equipment wire lacing including installation of power strips, grounding bars, jack-fields, etc.
Able to read and understand design drawings as well as cable riser diagrams and all architectural drawings.
Able to mount equipment such as monitor mounts, ceiling speakers’ microphones, and video walls.
Familiarity with Extron, Crestron and Barco.
Maintain an organized work environment
Education/Certifications:
Basic Networking knowledge desired
3+ years in the Audio-Visual or Electronics Field Installation
AVIXA CTS Certification is preferred but not required
Excellent Verbal and Written English Skills. Good customer service skills
Experience with Barco Video Wall Installation highly desired.
Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on the technology focus of the position.
Additional Qualifications:
A willingness to learn and develop further technical expertise.
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (sponsorship available).
Physical & Travel Requirements
Ability to assemble/disassemble equipment, sit or stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to travel to customer sites (approximately 25%).
