Position:
As a dynamic and steadily growing company, OGS Industries is seeking a seasoned Controller to help guide our financial strategy and support our expanding operations. This role presents a unique opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to step into a leadership position where they can make an immediate and lasting impact. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and strategic insight to manage day-to-day accounting, streamline financial processes, and support informed decision-making as we scale. Primary Job Duties
Act as a key financial advisor to the CEO and executive team.
Be an integral part of the acquisitions team as we seek to acquire 1-2 businesses in 2025
Supervise two individuals within the accounting department (AP, AR, GL, payroll, etc.)
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, working with CPA firm as needed
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP or other applicable standards
Maintain metrics across the company and its departments for reporting purposes to the Executive team, Ownership, and Advisory Board
Develop company-wide financial statements, budgets, and support leadership in evaluating projects requiring capital investment
Review and report on operational profitability of parts, divisions, customers, workcenters, etc.
May eventually grow into a CFO-level role as the company scales
Experience
+10 years working in a private company in accounting
Advanced/Expert Excel user
Capable of learning and championing accounting software
Managing/Analyzing large amounts of data
Learning the necessary functions of our ERP system, GlobalShop
