Job Summary

Supports the testing and integration of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems on new construction U.S. Navy ships. This role involves hands-on testing and verification of tactical and non-tactical C4I systems to ensure full functionality and compliance with Navy requirements prior to delivery. Looking for a self-starter with excellent work ethics that can work in a diverse environment with a diverse set of individuals.

Travel is estimated at 25%.

Responsibilities and Duties

Works on ships and climbs shipboard steps and ladders in hot and cold environments. Must have a thorough understanding of System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) execution and reporting procedures to include disposition of discrepancies. Responsible for monitoring, assisting and conducting SOVTs and inputting into digital tools (Interactive Test Procedures (ITP), and Modern Digital Tactical Software for Testing (MDTST) ensuring traceability and compliance with Navy standards. Perform MIL-STD 2106A testing and input test into digital tools. Support the certification and delivery process through final SOVT completion and data validation. Responsible for developing and executing training on digital tools on ships and in labs.

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

Must have at least eight (8) years’ experience in shipboard testing, preferably with C4I, SOVT, MIL-STD 2106A, and 3 years of experience with Interactive Test Procedures (ITP). Must have experience leading multiple training events related to testing (preferably with C4I ITP including ITP 101/201). Must have hands-on experience conducting SOVTs, MIL-STD 2106A, and inputting into Interactive Test Procedures (ITP) and Modern Digital Tactical Software for Testing (MDTST).

Education Requirements

High School Diploma. Bachelor's Degree and Military background is preferred.

Secret is required and a Top Secret is preferred.
