Position Overview

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Logistics Associate provides property wide support for a multitude of activities and departments. The Logistics Associate will be trained to do several vital services in support of employees, vendors, and guests. This position touches every part of the Glenstone campus and requires quick thinking and problem-solving abilities. This candidate must be flexible, thrive in a constantly changing work environment, and have an approachable and welcoming attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily checks of all meeting rooms, office spaces, and common areas.

Oversee and maintain organization in common areas, supply rooms, conference rooms, loading docks, and storage areas.

Accurately track and document all inventory. Prepare and conduct inventory audits.

Assist with special event coordination including vendor liaison, ordering, set up, supervision during event activities and post event break down.

Assist with uniform inventory management including reporting metrics, ordering uniforms, bar code acquisition, distribution of appropriate uniforms, and coordination with outside partners for uniform upkeep.

Ensure adherence to institutional organization style known as 5S by conducting daily, weekly, monthly audits of storage spaces and providing metrics and immediate solutions to deficiencies.

Maintain museum standards.

Order supplies.

Utilize our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to receive, track and create work orders.

Coordinate loading and unloading of vehicles, trucks, or trailers.

Coordinate package pickups and drop offs and printing required shipping labels and affixing postage.

Coordinate moving items and equipment from one location to another.

Escort service providers around the property including unlocking and securing doors, maintaining logs, and monitoring work

Print / scan site maps and exhibition mockups on plotter / oversized printer.

Observe all common safety practices

Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

COVID-19 vaccination.

Strong intercultural competence, interpersonal communication, planning, and organizational skills.

High school graduate or equivalent.

Ability to use a computer and/or tablet and become proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CMMS application (currently eMaint

Valid driver’s license and ability to operate motor vehicles including vans, pickup trucks, and electric carts.

Ability to operate (with training) pallet jacks, dock leveler, elevators, loading dock doors, scissor lifts.

Available to work a flexible schedule. Some evening and weekend work will be required

Reliable transportation to and from Potomac, MD.

Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.
