Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will implement strategies, evaluate products, and build upon an infrastructure that supports the changing needs of our customers. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, effective communication with stakeholders, and adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Location: Roswell, GA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Become technical subject matter expert for company products.

Evaluate customer requirements to match company products to customer applications.

Prepare design compliance matrices to ensure that company systems meet customer performance and safety requirements.

Prepare concept design documentation to support RFQ efforts.

Assist customers and partners in integrating company products into their designs, including

Prepare product specifications.

Prepare Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analyses (FTA).

Prepare test specifications.

Prepare and execute engineering test plans.

Work closely with customers and partner companies to ensure successful product integration.

Review partner/customer design documentation as required.

Identify and resolve integration-related issues.

Support certification efforts (UL, CSA, etc.) for company products and partner and/or customer products containing company products.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

3+ years experience with battery systems and knowledge of system design with Lead and Lithium Ion battery technologies.

Experience with Battery Management System (BMS) communication protocols, i.e., Modbus TCP/IP, CAN bus.

Experience with fault tree analysis and Design Failure Mode and Effects (DFMEA) analysis.

Familiar with Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) product safety standards such as UL 1973, UL 9540, UL 1741.

Familiar with fire protection standards involving Lithium Ion batteries.
