Job Title: Printing Press Operator
Job Description
The printing press operator will work closely with a press feeder to ensure smooth production operations. The operator will be responsible for troubleshooting issues related to color, exposure, clarity, grain, and typography. Quality checks will be performed to ensure alignment meets company standards. Additionally, the operator will retrieve JDF files, preset CPC 2000, and set up their own presses.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with a press feeder to ensure efficient production.
Troubleshoot color, exposure, clarity, grain, and typography issues.
Perform quality checks to align with company standards.
Retrieve JDF files and preset CPC 2000.
Set up and operate presses independently.Essential Skills
3-5 years of experience as a Prepress operator in commercial printing.
Ability to troubleshoot press equipment.
Proficiency in printing press and machine operation.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with a Heidelberg Press is preferred.
Knowledge of design, color theory, and typography.
Familiarity with LAB values and image control via a color scanning device.
Understanding of plate curves and their impact on CT in different tone values.
