Minimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.

Seeking a dedicated professional to provide critical communication support in a K-12 school setting. This role involves working directly with a 10th-grade student who utilizes sign language, ensuring their educational needs are met within a separate classroom environment. The position is based in Apex, NC, and operates from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)

Experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and staff

Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of the student and classroom environment

Location:

Apex, NC (In-person)

Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services for the student using sign language during classroom instruction

Collaborate with teachers and support staff to facilitate effective communication and enhance the students learning experience

Adapt interpretation as needed based on classroom activities and the students individual requirements

Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant discussions to support the students educational goals

Maintain professional standards and confidentiality while fostering a positive learning environment
