Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for painting metal parts using liquid paint. This role requires preparation of metal surfaces, mixing paint, and utilizing HVLP spray guns for application.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by applying liquid etching solutions and removing sharp edges left from prior grinding.
Mix paints and hardeners to specified ratios based on current humidity levels.
Fill and maintain pressure pots with proper paint or chemical mixtures.
Apply coatings to metal parts using HVLP spray guns, adjusting nozzles for optimal spray patterns and coverage.
Monitor paint flow and viscosity, making necessary adjustments.
Inspect painted parts for surface defects such as flaws, bubbles, or other imperfections.
Perform occasional rework including sanding, grinding, taping, and masking.
Paint machines and individual parts according to production schedules and specifications.
Conduct routine adhesion and quality tests to verify coating integrity.
Clean and maintain spray guns, hoses, and related equipment after each use.Essential Skills

Work Environment
Work in a smaller, blue-collar shop with a relaxed atmosphere. Although not a machine shop, there is a CNC department present.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
