Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking experienced maintenance mechanics to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery in a manufacturing facility. This role involves performing basic facilities repairs of the building, servicing forklift fleets, and maintaining conveyor systems. As the team grows in response to increased customer demand, new hires will have exciting learning opportunities with upcoming projects to replace or upgrade machinery over the next two years. Additionally, there is an LME apprenticeship program available on-site for those interested in becoming licensed.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs with minimal supervision.

Conduct forklift maintenance.

Carry out facilities work on lights, gates, signage, drywall, flooring, and other repairs as needed.

Plan and execute projects, including cost estimates, as directed.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.

Train team members in areas of expertise.

Address work orders and assist with parts ordering.

Help develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and equipment installations.

Ensure safety compliance and report hazards.

Support company quality systems and audits.

Design and fabricate repairs or improvements.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in mechanical systems, plumbing, steam/boilers, pneumatics, confined spaces, conveyor systems

Electrical troubleshooting on machinery, up to 480 volts

Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills

Physical ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, and stand for at least 3 hours

Capable of lifting 50–70 lbs occasionally

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and flexible schedules

Proficient in written and verbal communication

Metal fabrication experience (training available)

Experience with PLCs is preferred but not required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment & Shifts

The work is conducted in an industrial manufacturing facility where large machines on the production floor can be loud when running. Hearing safety and steel-toed shoes are required. The environment is clean and well-maintained, with all safety signage and designated walkways/work areas clearly marked.

Shifts available:

Swing (3pm - 11pm)

Night (11pm - 7am)

Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent Hire position based out of Northeast Portland, Oregon.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $81412.00 - $81412.00/yr.
