Qualifications:

Valid Michigan School Social Worker Credential

Compliance with all Michigan Department of Education criteria for school social workers

Strong background in special education, particularly with evaluations and functional behavior assessments

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals

Big Rapids, Michigan

Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and evaluations for students requiring social work services

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with special education teams

Provide direct services to students with IEPs, ensuring they receive the support needed for their success

Consult with educators and staff regarding students' social and emotional well-being

Facilitate training and workshops for staff on social-emotional learning and best practices

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
