Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
As a Quality Inspector within the Quality Department, you will conduct a variety of inspections on inbound materials from vendors, in-process products, and final products ready for shipping. Your role is to accept or reject products based on dimensional requirements and specifications defined by customer and/or internal standards. You will interact with various departments and customers to ensure the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Verify customer purchase order requirements.
Follow internal procedures applicable to task completion.
Inspect incoming products to verify conformity.
Conduct dimensional inspections of detail parts in accordance with customer and specification requirements.
Input and update database files related to inspection activities as required.
Generate computer reports as requested by management.
Maintain, stamp, and record inspection dates.
Assist with the RCCA/PA process for continuous product improvement.
Communicate effectively between Manufacturing and Quality departments.
Conduct dimensional inspections of assemblies throughout the manufacturing process.
Keep Crew Chiefs and directors informed about work status, problems, or potential issues.
Write non-conformance reports for non-conforming products.
Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner, including 5S Activities.
Respect the confidentiality of company, customer, and personnel information.
Assist and train/cross-train other employees as needed.Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED; Associate's Degree or equivalent desired.
2 years of work-related experience preferred.
1 year of aerospace experience preferred.
Experience with AS9102 (FAI) preferred.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other manufacturing software.
Experience with Quality Management System Policies and Procedures.
Ability to use precision measuring devices and read blueprints.
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance skills required.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Additional Skills & Qualifications
ASQ Certifications are a plus.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.

Work Environment
The work environment is a climate-controlled facility with air conditioning and heating. Eye protection is required, and hearing protection may be needed in certain areas. The position requires the ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and sit for 7 to 9 hours a day, as well as lift and carry up to 50 lbs. The role offers a 1st shift schedule, with openings from 5AM-3:30PM or 6AM-4:30PM, depending on department needs.

This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
