Job Description

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a productive, efficient, quality-oriented, and safe work atmosphere during assigned shifts. This role ensures positive, fair, and equitable treatment for all employees, contributing to a harmonious and high-functioning workplace.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and evaluate molding processes within documented specifications, making necessary adjustments to achieve and maintain prescribed quality and production standards.

Investigate root causes of severe process shifts to take corrective actions and bring processes back within specifications.

Monitor and evaluate daily production to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.

Manage production floor responsibilities including mold set-ups and changes, manpower utilization, material efficiencies, and documented quality evaluations to meet maximum capabilities.

Direct real-time and preventative maintenance on primary and auxiliary equipment as required and within skill level.

Coordinate with Maintenance Staff on issues beyond the skill level of the shift team to ensure accurate communication of repair needs and completion timeliness.

Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of molds, coordinating with the Tooling Team to schedule repairs and maintenance for efficiency and prolonged tool life.

Provide timely, detailed information for shift changes through written and verbal communication.

Ensure adequate supplies for smooth operation, ordering additional supplies as needed.

Ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees by coordinating with supervisors, managers, and departments to maintain consistency in operations.

Provide performance reviews, evaluations, and recommendations for corrective actions and promotions.

Maintain compliance with policy and procedures to ensure planned and desired results and a safe working environment.

Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department and community, maintaining professional competence, knowledge, and skill.Essential Skills

Managerial skills

Injection mold experience

Understanding of Quality standards and systems including Statistical Process Control

Three to five years of supervisory or lead experience

Thorough knowledge of safety specifications and procedures

Ability to work 12-hour shiftsAdditional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Three to five years of experience requiring strong mechanical aptitude

Spoken communication skills to lead others

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Reedsville, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67000.00 - $83000.00/yr.

- Benefits i.e. medical, dental, vision

- 401k company match is 6%

- Employees will receive 3.33 vacation hours on the 15th of every month (accrual will increase over time).

- Four days are set back for our shutdowns, Thanksgiving & the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.

- Goal Sharing Plan – employees are eligible for up to 5% of annual earnings tied to safety, EBITA, and Days on Hand Performance.
