Position: Payroll Analyst
Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Analyst to join our client's dynamic Payroll team. The successful candidate will administer their multi-state payroll system for both union and non-union payrolls. This role includes payroll processing, data entry, verification, and reconciliation of general ledger account balances. Advanced Excel skills and a thorough understanding of payroll procedures and compliance are essential.
Essential Duties:
Payroll Administration: Manage payroll processing using ADP Financial Reporting for union and non-union employees across multiple states.
Data Entry and Time Processing: Accurately input employee data and process time entries.
Verification and Reconciliation: Verify payroll data and perform regular reconciliations and audits.
Documentation: Maintain payroll policies and procedures documentation.
System Support: Support system upgrades and process automation.
Reporting: Prepare and generate payroll reports using advanced Excel functionalities.
Compliance: Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with HR and finance teams.
Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot payroll discrepancies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax concepts in a multi-state environment.
Experience with payroll software (preferably Workday and/or SAP).
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
