Minimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.

A rewarding opportunity awaits for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a 10th-grade student in a K-12 educational environment located in Chapel Hill, NC. This role is dedicated to facilitating effective communication and enhancing the learning experience for the student who uses sign language.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., NIC, BEI).

Demonstrated experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students.

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and culturally competent in the Deaf community.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.

Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpretation for classroom instruction and other school-related activities.

Collaborate with educators to support the students communication needs.

Ensure a smooth and effective interpretation process during all interactions.

Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development as required.
