Job Title: Extrusion Operator 18+

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clean Room Extrusion Operator for a 1st shift position from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity in a clean and temperature-controlled environment, focusing on the finishing side of product extrusion.

Responsibilities

Assist in finishing products as they come off the extrusion line and prepare them for shipping.

Engage in spooling, uncoiling, and cutting the product.

Read and follow work instructions for packaging.

Inspect products for quality defects and perform quality checks.

Package products according to specifications and prepare them for boxing and shipment to the warehouse.

Work in a fast-paced, FDA-regulated clean room environment handling silicone and rubber materials.

Lift up to 50 lbs and stand at the machine for the entire shift, as the machines run continuously.Essential Skills

At least 1 year of machine operator experience.

Ability to read a tape measure.

Experience with packaging at the end of a line.

Capacity to follow work instructions to meet production goals.

Willingness to wear a clean room suit, hair net, and beard net if applicable.

Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for the entire shift.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience with injection mold machines.

Work Environment

The work environment includes 50 employees across three shifts, with access to nine state-of-the-art automated extrusion machines. The facility is extremely clean and temperature-controlled, with air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter. Employees will work in a sterile room kept at 68 degrees, wearing a paper gown similar to what medical personnel wear in surgery. Personal protective equipment requirements include hairnets, beard nets if applicable, and restrictions on make-up, jewelry, and food or drink in the clean room area. Tennis shoes are acceptable, but no steel-toe boots.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
