Are you a dedicated and compassionateRegistered Nurse (RN) with a passion for hospice care? Sunbelt Staffing, in partnership with a leading nationwide home health & hospice agency, is hiring for a contract RN opportunity in Scottdale, PA.

Job Details:

Location: Scottdale, PA

Company: Sunbelt Staffing, on behalf of a Nationwide Home Health Agency

Position Type: Contract, 13-week term with possibility of extension upon successful completion, Full-Time 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with occasional weekends and on-call

Productivity: 25-32 per week, up to 35 patients

Compensation: Competitive salary,medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits after 90 days

Mileage: .48c visit to visit,150-250 miles per week expected

Job Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to hospice patients in their homes, ensuring comfort and dignity at the end of life.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, developing personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and safe handling of all medications.

Monitor patient condition regularly, noting any changes and adjusting care plans accordingly to meet the evolving needs of the patient.

Educate patients and families on end-of-life care, including symptom management, pain control, and available resources, offering emotional support during this sensitive time.

Utilize Homecare Homebase software for accurate and efficient documentation of patient assessments, care plans, progress notes, and other necessary documentation to ensure compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other healthcare providers, to deliver comprehensive care to the patient and their family.

Respond to patient emergencies and provide care as needed, ensuring that patients receive timely, effective intervention.

Ensure timely completion of documentation, including assessments, care plans, and daily progress notes, meeting agency standards and regulatory requirements.

Participate in regular case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and necessary adjustments to care.

Job Requirements:

Active PennsylvaniaRegistered Nurse (RN) License.

Active American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospice.

Proficiency in Homecare Homebase required.

Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned territory.

Location Details: Scottdale, PA is a charming small town southeast of Pittsburgh, known for its historic district, rich industrial heritage, and welcoming community.

Important Note: Due to this being a contract opportunity with limited training, one year of experience and proficiency inHomecare Homebase are required for consideration.
