Job Title: Rewind Operator
Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Rewind Operator to assist in pharmaceutical labeling using a 'Rewind Machine.' This position involves sitting at a desk, isolated from much of the warehouse, and performing general inspection of labels. The job is repetitive and requires a strong attention to detail to ensure quality and adherence to customer specifications.
Responsibilities
Lift label rolls onto rewind machinery.
Set up scanning equipment according to job specifications.
Operate rewind machinery by using color-coded buttons to start and stop the process.
Inspect labels for visual imperfections based on job specifications.
Remove defective labels and manually replace them with proper positioning.
Replace long sequences of defective labels by splicing and re-taping as per job specifications.
Fan fold labels into bundles.
Review computer scans of labels for undetected imperfections and make necessary adjustments.
Inspect back-numbered labels for correct sequence.
Air blast labels to check for the presence or absence of glue.
Cut cores to the length needed for each job.
Maintain traceability by completing paperwork accurately.
Rewind labels onto rolls after inspection.
Assist in training coworkers as needed to meet production demands.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Essential Skills

Inspection is a plus.
Knowledge of printing production is advantageous.
Experience with gluing systems and glue detection systems is beneficial.
Experience in setting up sensors, scanners, and vision systems is a plus.
Packaging experience in the pharmaceutical or food packaging industry is desirable.

Work Environment
The work environment is climate-controlled per government regulations, with the warehouse humidified to ensure comfort. The dress code includes t-shirts, jeans, and tennis shoes. Employees are regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and print chemicals typical of a printing environment, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderately loud. The position is for the second shift, with initial training on the first shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
