Job Description

We are seeking dedicated machine operators to join our team across 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will be trained on the 1st shift for 4-6 weeks before transitioning to your assigned shift. As a machine operator, you will work with large spools of steel wire, operating machinery to trim and coat the wire according to customer specifications. Our products serve a diverse range of industries, including construction and office supplies.

Responsibilities

Operate digital controlled respooling and auxiliary machinery to produce quality products meeting customer expectations and production goals.

Change machinery over from one product or package to another and perform quality welds using appropriate butt welders.

Conduct preventative maintenance on production and support equipment.

Maintain accurate production and quality records using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.

Understand product quality, delivery, and scrap measurements.

Operate machinery efficiently and safely, adhering to all safety procedures and policies.

Keep the work area clean and organized for the next operator.

Participate in training, employee meetings, committees, and project teams.

Must be able to take and pass OSHA approved Forklift Training and maintain a valid license.

Troubleshoot problems using standard problem-solving methods.Essential Skills

Mechanical aptitude and experience in an industrial facility.

Minimum of two years machine or production experience.

Comfortable using metric measurement systems.

Ability to perform simple calculations mentally and use a calculator for complex mathematics.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Technical school education is a plus.

Experience with machine operation, setup, and welds.

Forklift operation certification.

Experience with lockout/tagout safety protocols.

Capability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly.Work Environment

Our manufacturing facility is organized and prioritizes a clean, safe work environment. The shop has a smaller team, with roughly 12-15 employees on the 1st shift and 3-4 on the 2nd shift. Safety-toed shoes and ear protection are required.

This is a Permanent position based out of York, Pennsylvania.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $49920.00/yr.
