Basic Function
Airvac is the global leader in the Vacuum Technology System industry. Our Engineering Intern will help organize data, perform testing, solve problems and implement improvements associated with our products, components, and systems. They work closely and in conjunction with managers and team members in our Manufacturing, R&D, and Systems & Project Engineering areas.
Duties & Responsibilities
Creates and updates production work instructions and assembly procedures while suggesting improvements to procedures and processes.
Assists with implementing product and process improvements.
Photographs, weighs, and documents part specifications.
Monitors production lines for issues and assist with questions regarding engineering and quality.
Assists with materials and drawings for manuals and other technical documents.
Reviews standard processes to determine which need to be created or revised while documenting updates or new processes entirely.
Communicates issues and resolutions with engineering and/ production departments.
Assists with testing of products, documenting findings.
Performs various other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Required Skills
Current enrollment in Bachelor's Degree program in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
Software proficiency to include Windows, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor.
Ability to read and interpret instructions, assembly orders, and mechanical drawings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work as a team in a collaborative environment as well as individually.

Heavy Work Exerting 51 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 26 to 50 pounds of force frequently, or 11 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Very Heavy Work Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
